The traditional Yale Day of Service is in May (May 9) but why wait to do good things for the community. Local Yale alumna Emily Schenker has organized an opportunity for us to give a little something back by supporting the Pencils and Paper Program at Jewish Family Services. The Pencils & Paper Program at JFS provides free school supplies to teachers in schools that educate a high percentage of students living in poverty ensuring that children have the tools they they need to succeed in the classroom. Our service will be to help organize, categorize, and pack these supplies so they can be delivered efficiently. Please join us for a “long lunch” on the 26th.
